Metropolitan Home Finance
A crown-worthy website for a 20-year mortgage broker.
The Challenge
Shawn Walker built Metropolitan Home Finance on 28 years of banking experience and a reputation earned one handshake at a time. His existing site didn't reflect that authority — cream-heavy layouts, generic stock imagery, and no digital presence worthy of the crown motif in his own logo.
The site needed to serve two very different audiences — first-time buyers who need education and hand-holding, and seasoned investors running DSCR calculations — without feeling split or diluted.
As a Black-owned brokerage in Pennsylvania and Florida, the brand also carried a mission: closing the homeownership gap in the communities Shawn has served for two decades.

The Solution
We built a dark-first editorial design system anchored by Deep Navy heroes, Champagne Gold CTAs, and Cormorant Garamond headlines at 60–72px. The crown watermark from the logo appears at 8% opacity across hero sections — subtle authority without kitsch.
The site splits into dedicated hubs: a First-Time Buyer center with 7 education modules and resource downloads, and an Investor Resources hub with market snapshots, cash flow tools, and DSCR guides. Each audience gets depth without competing for attention.
A custom React mortgage calculator captures leads mid-session. Every page carries NMLS compliance. Blog content is written under Shawn’s byline with E-E-A-T authority signals baked in.
